Social Networks: Two quick but important questions!

Social Media is one of the easiest ways to communicate with your network. It is increasingly important to create a communication strategy that takes advantage of social platforms, focused on attracting and retaining new customers. In addition to being important to share your content on social media, you must also maintain a consistent image with the rest of your digital communication.

Are you already taking advantage of the potential of social media? So, we’re sure you’ve already asked yourself questions about the following topics…

How often should I post on social media?

Social networks are a very human tool for communication. The cadence and type of publications to be made, as well as times and publication format, largely depend on which social network you are working on and your type of service or product.

In general, on Facebook and Instagram, you should post whenever you can! You don’t need overproductions… publish images of your business, your employees, actions you take, etc… These are two very direct, organic and human social networks.

In the case of Youtube, it works a lot like a search engine, but with videos. If you can produce video content, you should publish on this social network at least once a week.

As for LinkedIn, it is a more institutional social network. The frequency of institutional content, and relevant to the sector, is imperative. Try to publish specialized articles, reactions to innovative initiatives and technologies in your sector and interact with publications from other users and market players, at least a few times a week.

Should I be present on all social networks?

As they say, “neither 8 nor 80”! This question largely depends on your service or product, and your communication objectives. Being present, at least, on LinkedIn and Google My Business (especially as a local company) is important.

  • On LinkedIn – It’s important to always have your company’s information up to date, as well as that of your employees. It is widely used by people looking for new job opportunities, so if your company has a good image, the possibilities of captivating people are great.
  • Google My Business – It’s great for “Local SEO”. It is directly linked to the Google search engine and Google Maps. It’s normal for people to get recommendations for your business through this means, so it’s important to have all your information up to date.

As for Facebook and Instagram, these social networks are more organic and human. Instagram, for example, is more aimed at stores and brands, not so much at business groups. Furthermore, on these two social networks you can also have your online store for free!
